Dear Mr. Cunningham,

Under the spirit of the following information:

The Texas Open Records Act of 1973 was enacted to meet the public need for "complete information about the affairs of government and the official acts of public officials and employees." Although it is now called "the Texas Public Information Act", this Act makes public, with few exceptions, any document that is collected assembled or maintained by a governmental body. This includes a governmental body's written procedures along with opinions, orders and statements of policy of that agency, that effect the public. The public can use this Act to request information from any governmental agency.

I hereby request that you provide me with the applicable statutes or rules of NRH or the State of Texas that currently preclude or prohibit citizens from addressing the NRH City Council in session on any item on the Council Agenda.

Requester:   Ron C. West
Address:  6304 Glenview Drive
City:   NRH, TX 76180
Phone:  817-938-1383

Thank you in advance for a prompt response to this request.

Regards,

Ron C. West
