Dear Ms. Compton,
Welcome to the City Council of
While I have not had the privilege of meeting you yet, I look forward to an
opportunity to meet and visit with you. Prior to that, I would appreciate
knowing
your position on revenues to our city. The following information is an excerpt
directly
from audit and budget information on the city web site. The percentage
calculations are
simple math using 1993/94 as a base.

My question is rather simple - Do you feel that we as citizens can sustain the
current rates of increase in
revenues to the city? At the present time, city goals incorporate a plan to
"hold the rate" on property taxes
for the next 10 years which would effectively double the taxes on all residents
over the next 7 to 10 years.
Do you plan to support this "holding the rate" position?
I would appreciate the courtesy of a reply and look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Ron West

Question - Thank you for the notice
Dear Ms. Compton,
I have now received your response, i.e., the declining of
answering the questions posed.
I will post your reply on NRHOnline along with the exact email sent to
you requesting a response. Other voters in NRH may be as
disappointed as I am in your apparent reluctance to answer these important
questions.
Thank you for at least letting me know that you are unwilling to either
answer the questions, pose questions or respond to this inquiry.
Regards,
Ron West
